ERYONE Glow in Dark Rainbow Filament
Phosphorescent filament, which shines at night.
The material is mostly based on PLA or ABS. Thanks to the additional phosphorescent particles, the model lights up at night. But the model has to be exposed first. The material will absorb these rays. The best results are achieved with thick walls. The thicker the walls, the stronger the glow.
Glow in the dark filaments are not radioactive. Don’t laugh, I get this asked a lot, and I know plenty of people who still believed that. And it’s not too far fetched there is or rather was, radium-paint used for quite a while for glowing dials until people learned what radioactivity is and that it’s probably not too healthy having such paint on your alarm clock, not even speaking of what happened to the poor folks that painted the dials in the first place. Radium paint is radio luminescent, so glows due to radioactive decay, yet what we are dealing with in glow-in-the-dark filament is phosphorescence. Phosphorescence means that a material can absorb light and later emit that light again over a longer period of time.
PLA Glow is a special PLA material with luminous powder integrated into it that makes your 3D prints glow. After just a short exposure to UV light or daylight, the material stores the energy and emits it as a captivating glow in the dark.
Ideal for printing luminous toys, decorative objects or jewellery.
► After a longer period of time, the model may lose its intense glow effect. Exposing it to sunlight or UV light for approx. 2 hours will restore the luminous glow of the printed object.
Note! Not suitable for printing with a 0.2 mm diameter nozzle. A hardened nozzle is recommended.
