Elegoo Jupiter 2 Bigger & Better Than Anycubic Photon M7 Max?

Elegoo has recently revealed Jupiter 2, its largest Resin Printer in Rapid+ TCT 2025, and the reveal shows the Jupiter 2 stands out with thoughtful design, user friendly features, and it's 16K resolution. Here's a closer look at why it might be the smarter investment than Anycubic Photon Mono M7 Max.

Build Volume & Practicality

As shown in the pictures it shows that Jupiter 2 has bigger build volume than Anycubic Photon M7 Max and it strikes a better balance between print capacity and machine footprint. Speculations suggest that Jupiter 2 has build volume of 302 x 162 x 300 mm, while the Anycubic Photon Mono M7 Max has build volume of  298mm x 164mm x 300m.

Print Quality & Performance

Jupiter 2 is expected to deliver stunning detail and reliable results across the build plate with its 16K Resolution and 14 inch LCD. Thanks to a sturdier Z-axis and improved stability, it's well-suited for tall or complex prints.

The Photon M7 Max, equipped with a 14K mono LCD, also produces excellent detail, especially in the center of the build plate. However, users have occasionally reported edge inconsistencies during large prints.

User Experience

Elegoo’s interface and slicing software integrations are more intuitive and flexible. The Jupiter 2 is expected to play well with third party slicers and features a responsive touchscreen with a clean UI. By contrast, the Photon M7 Max leans more heavily on proprietary tools, which might feel restrictive to advanced users.

Why Jupiter 2 is a smart choice?

Many changes have come to the Jupiter’s form factor, with an eye on making the large device easier to use. It has a two-panel front-swinging door instead of a hinged top cover, and uses a dual-handle build plate with mounting detection to ensure it is properly seated before printing.

The resin pump also uses a thoughtful form factor. The Jupiter 2 we saw was fitted with a 4 kg resin bottle mounted to the back of the printer via a simple tray that can slide out and be replaced. The screwtop that connects to the resin bottle separates from the pump and allows for custom solutions to use third-party resin bottles.

Conclusion

Both the Elegoo Jupiter 2 and Anycubic Photon M7 Max are good choices in the large resin printer category. But for those looking for a bigger , better, a smoother and more reliable experience with room to experiment and grow, the Jupiter 2 will stand out as the more refined option.
