Bambu Lab P1P To Be Discontinued

Introduction

Bambu Lab has announced farewell for the P1P. It discontinuation marks the end of an important period in FDM 3D printing. With its launch, Bambu Lab P1P introduced high speed CoreXY performance and smart automation to a wider audience without moving into industrial pricing.

It became a practical choice for hobbyists and small production users.

What Made It Stand Out

The P1P offered:

  • CoreXY motion system
  • Automatic bed leveling
  • Vibration compensation
  • Upgradeable enclosure panels
  • AMS compatibility for multi-color printing

For many users in Pakistan, it was their first experience with reliable high speed printing that didn’t require constant manual tuning.

Why It Was Phased Out

As the technology evolved, enclosed models like the Bambu Lab P1S became more in demand. Enclosures improve temperature stability, noise control, and material compatibility especially for ABS and ASA.

From a product perspective, the transition makes sense.

Should Owners Be Concerned?

Not necessarily. Discontinuation does not mean end of support. Spare parts and firmware support will continue for specified period.

Conclusion

The P1P was best in the mid-range segment. It proved that speed, automation, and clean design could coexist at a reasonable cost. Now on Bambu Lab P1S and P2S will take ahead the legacy of Bambu Lab P1 Series.

Production may have ended, but its influence on modern desktop 3D printing remains clear.
