Bambu Lab R1 Launched
Introduction
Bambu Lab has officially launched the R1, its first CO₂ laser engraver and cutter. It is designed for both cutting and engraving. It brings Bambu Lab’s focus on automation and ease of use to laser processing.
55W CO₂ Laser
The R1 features a 55W CO₂ laser designed for cutting and engraving a range of materials, including wood, acrylic, leather, fabric, and glass
It can handle applications from detailed engraving to cutting thicker materials, depending on the material and settings.
Working Area
With a 600 × 300 mm working area, the R1 provides enough space for a wide range of projects, including signage, decorative products, prototypes, packaging, and custom parts.
The machine also supports an auto-feed conveyor for materials up to 3 metres long, making it suitable for longer projects.
Automated Features
The R1 includes automatic laser alignment to simplify setup and improve accuracy. These features can be particularly useful for users handling repeated jobs or different materials.
